Welcome to a fresh start of my blogging career.

This year I was chosen to be a member in the 2017 Cisco Champion program. This program recognizes IT professionals that provide valuable feedback in the IT community and that are interested in Cisco related topics. This occasion prompted me to restart my blog from scratch. I am grateful for the invitation to join and look forward to this years briefings.

A little introduction about myself: I am a CTO of a Cisco Premier certified VAR in the Netherlands. I have been working professionally in IT since 2000 and started off as a generic sysadmin mostly handling Novell Netware. After a couple of years I slowly migrated into networking when the organization where I worked started to centralize their IT and the WAN needed redesigning. Later on I moved on to IT consultancy and ended up in my current job.

My experience is very diverse, I have hands on experience with Voice over IP, Routing and Switching, Wireless, Security and Datacenter in very diverse organizations. I have worked in education, e-commerce, industry and enterprise environments.

In this blog I will type my notes about the things that interest me, both professionally aswell personally. I like to travel and absolutely love skiing and am a home automation enthousiast.
